Tommy + Kathleen's Italian family vineyard wedding | Bear Claw Vineyard | Blue Ridge, Georgia

Tommy + Kathleen's love story started in the most "2018" of places - online. Tinder isn't all bad, apparently! They had known who each other were since high school, but it took time and some help from their iPhones to bring them back into each other’s lives. Their first date at Texas Roadhouse led to more dates, which led to Kathleen meeting Tommy’s sons, and two years later, led to a sweet surprise proposal on gorgeous River Street in Savannah, Georgia.

Their day in the Blue Ridge Mountains ended up being a cold, rainy one, but they didn’t let that stop them from celebrating. The warmth and love that everyone showed throughout the day was in perfect contrast to the weather.

All the staff at Bear Claw Vineyards was incredibly helpful, and so welcoming. My shoes got soaked and so my feet were FROZEN, and the owner of the venue gave me a pair of her rain boots. How freakin’ sweet is that?! I looked a little crazy but hey, my feet were warm and that’s the important part, haha.

The best part of the day was during the ceremony, Tommy and Kathleen and their two boys did a tree planting ceremony. It was symbolic of them vowing to nurture and grow their family the same way they would the tree. It was the first time I had seen anything like that, and it was beautiful!

Their reception was seriously one giant lit-as-hell party! Ending with a sparkler exit was a perfect way to finish off the wonderful day.
